They used the Coast Guard as a litmus test as its the most ignored branch of the military. If this wasn't made into a big deal, other branches would have adopted the policy.

The study was of depression & anxiety over I think 30 or 40 years. Highest levels depression & anxiety in order Liberal Females, Conservative Females, Lib men, Conservative men. Depression & Anxiety also greatly increased since 2008 due to smart phones & social media. It did not study anger.

This has been studied. Conservatives are happier because a high ratio of them are living in ignorance of what is going on in their state, their country, and the world. They lack the intelligence to consider consiquences resulting in less worry. They tend to lack empathy & see the suffering going on
