Life in the time of entropic empire.

Alexander was so impressed by Diogenes' audacity and freedom that he reportedly told his men, "If I were not Alexander, I would be Diogenes."

Good for you. I wish you the absolute best. I suspect the next several years, a lot of the compliant media is going run stories about parents lamenting their kids not talking to them.

More of this independent spirit from youth may be what saves the planet

Previously, several of these companies, like Apple, IBM, and Disney, have paused advertising on X in response to antisemitic content. But antisemitism on X never slowed, sexual abuse imagery increased, and all of these companies quietly resumed advertising anyways.

Why isn't there a bigger Grok boycott?
Advertisers, politicians, and investors are still all-in on X, despite a sexual abuse crisis.

I can’t say I know any Iranians who are happy right now. They are anxious, confused, upset, hopeful, excited in different ways.

I personally tend to be pessimistic about the medium and long-term. Then again, I’ve never been good at being hopeful.

After a lifetime of personal interactions with monarchists, my opinion is that they also do not like women. They do not like the Woman Life Freedom protestors. They just want a different daddy in charge of the state.

NUFDI is a monarchist outfit and actions & behaviors like this from monarchists are why many doubt Reza Pahlavi & co will simply lead a ”temporary“ or “democratic” transition period.

I’m Iranian-American, speak fluent Persian, have spent most of my life immersed in Iran & its ongoings in both personal & professional capacities. Feels like this is going to be useful the next few weeks as every single white American on this website assumes everyone is exactly like them.

My new collection of short stories and poetry -- We Had It Coming -- is available for pre-order now! It's the best thing I've ever written and I think you all will find solace and despair in equal measure within.

There is a group of people that are supposed to be composed in high stress situations, train for them in fact, get paid well for it, and are given very, very broad leeway on how they act, and yet they shit their pants constantly and cry about how scared they are all the time.
It's so fucking convenient that they get to "fear for their lives" anytime they want to absolve themselves of anything and when we actually fear for our lives because of them and do anything a scared person would do it's justification for our death.

Hope is no crime, nor is despair, despite prior religious admonishments. Both demonstrate some good measure of caritas inside these beastly storms generated by
metastatic ego.

I remember the long, sweet summers on the Kingston Peninsula, out on the wide river following the chip barge in that small aluminum boat with the Honda 10hp, the river a living giant running from New Brunswick's NW down through Woodstock, Meductic, Mactaquac, widening & deepening at Long Reach.

We aren't living in interesting times. We are living in time & times that link all things in rebellion against the persistent destruction of our dying planet; in spite of that process, many retain hope & choose to fight our extinguishment for reasons of mere ego & unconsciousness.
My feed is currently full of photos of simultaneous protests against the regime in both Iran and the U.S.

We are hungry for connection. After our cessation, our ghosts still hungry for connection in the deep stillness of this one earth, this living being of which we are part, inseparable, linked eternally to Earth, our being inextricably woven around & in that which deifies all life regardless of form.

Editorial cartoonists are a fascinating anomaly in the world of corporate media, especially rw media. It's interesting how they're in demand at all within a sea of corporate biases. Makes me think it doesn't hurt your profit too badly to have some popular cartoonists around.

Which border were they protecting?
The CBP agent here had shot two other protesters in the face point-bank prior to this incident. His name is EZ-17.
