You’d think there’d be a growing set of voices on the fringes (that fringes part is key) that would be railing against our societal norms so much so that it became lifestyle. But it feels like if this were Hunger Games, we’re all jockeying to be a part of District 1 and the Capital.

There’s no “sticking it to the man” - everyone wants to cozy up to the man. Self-preservation by proximity to power structures is the new play. Or it’s performative for clicks. Vanity being the goal. Being a “sellout” Is looked at now like “yea I get It, get yours.”
