But one of the places I really want to return to one day is Sakaiminato! It was the hometown for the wonderful artist Shigeru Mizuki who is particularly well known for his Yokai images. The street has lots of bronze statues of yokai (these were back in 2014)

"Why couldn't you just let me make-believe!" is such a sad and universal Batman villain statement. Everyone from Baby-Doll to villains like Mad Hatter and even Joker and Penguin, are trapped in their own little Wonderlands. It's pain for everyone else, but it's the only way they know comfort.
