In 2016 Monash University said it would divest from fossil fuels. The same year it inked a deal with Woodside, Australia's biggest domestic oil and gas supplier, starting a decade-long partnership.

I looked at how the institution was living up to its promises. The short answer: it's not.

You can't have a net zero by 2050 target and also approve gas projects out to 2070. One is a lie, and it's pretty clear which one it is.
