or i do a docker container on my desktop with a zigbee stick and just never turn it off, that's probably easier

actually i still need a way to pair all of my devices to it and i cant over wifi because campus internet is configured in such a way that devices dont talk to each other by default, hmmm
suppose one option is to just have a router for my home assistant box and buy wifi plugs

this is gonna be more annoying to manage than having a second computer though i would prefer not needing to leave my computer on 24/7 so i can have nondepressive lighting schedules
