Rare Cancers Bill has passed its Third Reading!

Despite their being some jeopardy earlier in the week, the whole rare disease community unified and acted to ensure that it didn’t fall.

This Bill has the chance to be transformational for rare cancer patients.

The Taskforce supports the Rare Cancers Bill. The Bill reaches its 3rd reading in Parliament tomorrow, Friday 12 July and we need at least 40 MPs in Westminster to ensure it progresses.
👉 We are calling on all MPs to attend and support the Bill.

The Rare Cancers Bill has had months of cross party support but is in danger of not passing due to an amendment being tabled.

This is a chance to see real change for the rare cancer community, so please write to your MP and encourage them attend the Third Reading on Friday!

An ultra-rapid method of genetically diagnosing brain tumours has been developed, cutting the classification time from 6-8 weeks, to as little as two hours. This could remove the uncertainty that those face waiting weeks for their diagnosis and prognosis. Read more: bit.ly/3YU9Qbb
