Yesterday NIH revised the NOFO for the Parent F31 Fellowship to remove words like "diverse" and "gender", and to delete a statement encouraging predominantly BIPOC institutions to apply for funding

an insane thing i had to type out in an email about my NIH fellowship application today

PSA if something feels like it's significantly harder for you than other people, be curious about it. i've always struggled w/ reading (even w/ my ADHD meds), & it took me 24 yrs of frustration to find out i have visual snow syndrome, so every page i read looks like this (which i thought was normal)

‼️ As of today, the NIH has re-closed the F31-Diversity Fellowship (after reversing the initial closure last week) along with other funding mechanisms. This is in direct opposition to a federal judge's decision to block Trump's DEI EO earlier today ‼️
