All things Duke Blue Devils basketball, from the perspective of one very old and very cranky Cameron Crazy. If you don't know who "The Boggers" were, you shouldn't be following me.
Duke basketball is 100 days away.

Teammates.

Not sure I can watch tonight's NBA draft. While I'm obviously happy for the Blue Devils who will be drafted, all I can come back to is, HOW DID THIS SQUAD NOT WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP? One day, I'll get past it, like I did with the '99 team, but that day hasn't arrive yet.

Not sure what's funnier, this guy complaining about Duke having a home game in the SEC/ACC Challenge game, even though UNC has played all SEC/ACC Challenge games at home so far or the fact that he still places UNC among the top of the ACC.

Money really doesn’t buy you what it used to?

Full intent must mean something different in Chapel Hill.

Um, Thornton has been a member of the Brotherhood for a long time.

Now that we're settled in, my worthless thoughts on Duke's 2025-26 roster. There is a lot to like. A ton of talent and future pros. My only concern is the youth. This team is super young, with Brown being the only senior and Foster being the only junior who will see serious mins. A thread... 🧵

I have Cedric Coward staying in the NBA draft. I have for a while now, but if for some reason he decides to return to college and play at Duke, I would have the Blue Devils ranked #1. I don't think it's going to happen, but a man can dream.

The reason I say this is because I have Evans, Foster and Cayden Boozer all starting (while others project Cayden coming off the pine). The Boozer twins have been winners their entire career at every level. Cayden sorta gets forgotten behind Cam, but this kid can ball.

Getting Dame Starr was a great late get by Scheyer. He can do a lot of the basketball floor. But for this season, he won't be able to bring what Cedric Coward could have brought. Still, I think Starr will be a solid spark plug off the bench, who will feel like a 6th starter at times.

Finally finished.

You can take your son out of UNC, but you can’t take the stupid out of a parent who had a kid play at UNC.

I’m not going to pretend I know much about Evan Bradds. He was the Player development coach for the Utah Jazz this past season. I will say that I’m happy that Scheyer continues to find the best assistants and doesn’t focus on only hiring former players.

This would be ironic since most modern day Carolina players go play in Europe after playing at UNC.

Already ready for the in-game cutaways to this family behind the bench.
April 28, 2025 at 11:28 PM
Duke roster for now:

Guards: Foster, Cayden, Evans, Harris
Wings: Coward, Khamenia
Bigs: Ngongba, Brown, Cam

Recruiting: Hawthorn

Need in Portal: veteran big, veteran guard (point).

Cedric Coward has committed to Duke (sorta), as he is still testing the NBA waters. Dude went from D3 to Duke, which is pretty impressive. Have to assume he’s not going to stay in the draft, so he has a real shot to start at the 3-spot.

We live in a pretty awful world when someone apologizes for their actions and it feels so rare and strange. Doing the right thing after doing something wrong was once the norm, but not in most cases today.
April 27, 2025 at 11:20 PM
Slow portaling? You mean, take time to know who is coming and going, waiting for the portal to close, know your options and making wise decisions? Sure. Or be like UNC and jump on whatever comes first and then not have any more $$$ when better players become available?
April 27, 2025 at 11:16 PM
Glad that it appears this visa mess isn’t getting in the way of Maluach chasing his NBA dream. Hopefully teams won’t be shy to draft him because of future issues by this pathetic Administration. Go do great things, Man Man.

Responds like a boss.
April 22, 2025 at 11:26 PM
The freshman to sophomore jump is going to be nuts.
April 22, 2025 at 11:25 PM
I really like Harris coming off the bench. Foster, Boozer, Evans (assuming he’s back) and Harris are a nice foursome of guards. Would love one more true point guard though.
April 22, 2025 at 2:47 PM
Hard to argue he wasn’t the greatest freshmen to play at Duke. Led his team in all major stats, leading the team to the Final Four.

Glad I got to watch him and lucky to have him on my team, but man, April is a heartbreaking month now waiting for players to make decisions.
