We repeat what we have experienced because it's what we know. Once we're able to see that patterns can be changed and identify what we want to change, healing is possible. It can end with us. #cyclebreaker #healingjourney
As you identify less and less with “me”, you’re more at ease with everybody and everything cuz you’re no longer afraid of being hurt, left, or disliked. And you no longer desire to impress anyone. Could you imagine the weight off of you when you don’t have to impress anyone anymore? Become aware.

Dictator Donny
Tyrant Trump. He wants to run your life for you. He wants to tell you exactly how you’re expected to be and how you’re expected to behave. And you’d better behave as he has decided you have to behave; or else. He shall punish himself by having negative feelings. #DictatorDon

I think one of the greatest causes of addiction is escapism. We were never taught how to process and manage our uncomfortable feelings and emotions, therefore we cope by drinking, smoking, eating, numbing, ect. With substances or activities we have access to. Its self medication. #addiction

On this day I will clearly see the difference between seeking false approval and doing a good deed just because it's the right thing to do. I am grateful for that realization. #approvalseeker

The solution is not in another drink, another joint, another drag. The solution is in having the courage to face your pain and be with it. Sit with it, honor and acknowledge it. Then you can move forward without those destructive vices. #Healing

Another wonderful thing about college: you get to speak to people from outside the US, UK, or Canada. Just spoke with international students from South Korea, Australia, and India all in the same day. Interesting hearing their differing viewpoints & perspectives. #perspective #open

Codependent people are too giving of love, respect & care of others, while dismissing, devaluing or being afraid of asking the same from others. People who are Narcissistic put their own love, respect & care needs first while devaluing, ignoring or neglecting those same needs in their partners.

People often unconsciously re-create in their romantic relationships, eerily similar dynamics found present within their earliest attachment relationships. You may have heard the phrase, “women date their fathers.” #relationships #wound

Emotionally mature people are realistic enough to not be offended easily and can laugh at themselves. Taking things too personally can be a sign of either narcissism or low self-esteem. Both cause problems in relationships because it leads people to seek reassurance nonstop. #emotionalintelligence

Changing you is enough, you cannot change other people. “You can’t teach an unwilling dog new tricks.” People who say, “that’s just who I am.” Typically just mean they aren’t willing to grow or change or improve. #growth #change
