As one of the few pros who actually read the Sinner ruling, he deserves all of the microphones.

It was specifically this piece that had me thinking about Hewitt’s place as precursor to Big 3, with Federer turning into more of a baseliner. Scary to think Sincaraz are already this good and still scaling the developmental curve, both in terms of tennis’ technical and psychological requirements.

The crazy thing is just how much they’ve adapted technique over the past season simply to combat each other, while troubleshooting against the rest of the tour. Even though the matchup is still very dependent on conditions, the end result is tennis that turns your brain into scrambled egg.

Turin was more a punctuation mark but the level of tennis in these Sincaraz finals (Cincy aside) in 2025 is unlike anything I’ve seen before in this sport. A simply unfathomable combination of power, agility and precision; how fluidly they can both go from defence to attack is brain bending.

Attention focused on whether Kuminga should start or whether he's a good fit in Kerr's system, and not how badly the roster's been constructed for Steph's late-prime and what is now his relative decline. Soon to be 3 of past 5 first rounders out the door with JK, and a .500 team in first apron.

They need spacing real bad though. Those Vassell clanks from the corner with the game on the line probably reverberated through the front office.

God I love watching him play basketball so much

Still, warra game of NBA basketball. Wish we could have Steph and Wemby on the same court every night.

Got next to nothing from the bench until this mini-stretch in Q4. If Steph has to go nuclear just for GSW to be in games, even with the JK/Richard switch in the rotation and not consistently blowing defensive rotations like against OKC, that can’t really be a good sign long-term.

Incorrect. This historic flop season from Zverev has been one of the best and most uplifting stories in decades.

Hard to understate the process of fitness/footwork to be able to run around onto FH consistently, but just doesn't generate the power to rattle Sincaraz. Sucks to come to terms with this being his level but still think he has strong clay seasons in front of him.

That 10th game in the first was so inevitable as well 💀 battle hard, eventually get into position to capitalise before flopping, but this year is a massive improvement on 2024 for the Family Man

.500 team in best case scenario.

(Also helped that I was always much smaller than opponents in midfield, especially at junior levels playing ages up. 😅)

Whenever I played, ngl I always prided myself on being able to make small-enough tactical fouls and build a good rapport with the referee before and during the match, to avoid the card while halting momentum. The real dark arts.

Which is kind of why I said his rally tolerance has just improved somewhat; just incorporating a lot more slice simply to maintain neutrality before he essentially gives in, goes too big and gives up momentum he could have gained, which is only made worse by his return game. But there's still time.
