I find Grohl's glad-handing music-industry MC act annoying. I was in my 30s when grunge hit, not a wide-eyed teen. It amused me as a retread of the '70s after 12 years of white rock guys genuflecting to punk rock. Soundgarden was the best of the lot IMO, not Nirvana or Pearl Jam.

What is the point of any of it? Most of America hates Trump and yet he is still President. It makes no fucking difference what opinion outlet you adopt. I have replaced MSNBC with playing the piano.

It’s Jussie Smollett Syndrome.

He and his brother and party were incredible vocal improvisers - among the most amazing on any instrument. I saw him in concert in the mid-'90s. It was a Pakistani-community event. Really transporting! The tabla drumming in Qawwali is very different from Indian tabla - funky and groove-oriented. 👍
