I guess they weren't very interested in the truth. That's probably why they had replies limited, too.

I'm always a bit surprised how easily we fall for any information that tickles our confirmation bias.

A party incapable of reflection or introspection. A party with the singular strategy of shitting on everyone and everything around it, like an incontinent pigeon.

I've had this utility knife and sheath since about 1974 or '75. I got it for working at a summer job in a pulp and paper mill. It has no moving parts, which makes it my go to for certain tasks where a slide mechanism failure might be disastrous.

Apropos of nothing, why is it Cinderella's glass "slipper" when it's obviously a pump?

The anatomy of planned obsolescence:
1. Apply metal skin to hardboard (slurp!)
2. Don't use treated wood for the frame.
3 Construct a door that channels water into the interior structure.
Presto!

The wind got hold of my cargo trailer door and pooched it. Seems it was a *teeny* bit rotten. Turns out a replacement is $800. So I guess I'm rebuilding trailer doors now.

I didn't have that on the Fall agenda.

This morning, after the neighborhood bluejay picked and shelled a few of these sunflowers, he decided the ROI just wasn't worth it, so he headed over to the peanut feeder and bitched for a couple minutes that it was empty.

Found this paper bag floating around the yard, and now I kinda wanna know, as Paul Harvey would have said, "the rest of the story."

There's a voice inside my head which tells me I have to get jobs like this done before I'm too old to do them.

And another voice that says, "What you mean 'before'?"

The jackass who built these raised beds apparently thought that burying some Styrofoam was a good way to use up some space at the bottom to save on topsoil.

15 years later that jackass is less convinced of the wisdom of that choice.

You just know there's spit involved here. Like a lot. A saliva shower is what it is.

Some disassembly required.
Twenty some years after I laid these, it's time to fix a sag caused by the water and sewer service trench settling in a very wet year. I've been putting it off for a long time.

No, tiki torches.

And after millennia of astronomy, I'm pretty f'in sure we know when the sun will shine. There's still solar energy to be captured on a cloudy day.
