Cycling, coffee and trigeminal neuralgia
Just finished the renovation of my Cinelli Superstar. A real beautiful bike to ride. Unfortunately my legs are far from superstar quality....more like Rochdale over 60s third team .... reserves!

As transport sec Louise Haigh
-resolved the industrial dispute on the railways
-was proceeding with rail public ownership
-spoke clearly on P&O
-gave priority to buses & opposed removal of the £2 cap
For her approach she attracted hostility from the right. It’s a backward development to lose her

‘Dentists’ Forest Gate’ 2020. Reminded me of the film ‘Marathon Man’ 1976 where Laurence Olivier plays a Nazi dentist. Unfair as it’s a well-regarded surgery, I hasten to add!

And if anyone is doing a #ThamesPath walk this weekend in SW London, please note that the Thames Towpath from Richmond to Kew remains closed following a collapse due to very heavy rain in October. Please don’t attempt to cross the towpath here as it’s not safe richmond.gov.uk/news/news_no...

In Vulture Capitalism, I talk about the state as a social relation, which means policy tends to reinforce the interests of the dominant class.

But today, state power is increasingly being hijacked to promote *particular* interests, rather than those of capital in general. www.ft.com/content/342e...

Pictured this lunchtime on the regent's canal at King's Cross. Moments before this cormorant had it's wings stretched out in the sunshine. Just goes to show that it's not my impatience but that of the wildlife that has thwarted my ambition to become a photographer of the natural world..

Saxon burial ground, Everdon Stubbs. This is part of a managed woodland full of oaks and sweet chestnuts. Been coming here for over 55 years and it's still gorgeous! Unfortunately these pics don't do it justice. Everdon is near daventry in Northamptonshire. However daventry isn't worth visiting

My banner is taken from this painting by Doreen Fletcher. The Pubali Cafe used to be close to the junction of Commercial Road and Burdett Road in East London. If you are interested then Doreen's work can be found on her website doreenfletcherartist.com
