I’m only 18 and I remember summers without forest fire smoke. It makes me very sad to think that some of the campers may never experience a summer without smoke in the air

This is exactly where my mind went as well. Celebrating him playing through a serious injury will no doubt have a trickle down affect into minor hockey players ignoring or hiding injuries.

The fact the at the NHL even had a dress code requiring players to wear suits points to an old fashioned societal expectation of men and how the should present themselves.

Yeah I’m not a massive tennis fan myself but getting to hear about and watch a young Canadian succeed was awesome. Especially since she did it on Canadian soil.

I am a massive rider fan, my family has had season tickets since I was three years old. As I move away from my family and begin working full time it is unlikely that I will have the free time or disposable income to buy my own season tickets.

As an official I experience a lot of complaining from other refs about neck guards. In my opinion while not lifesaving by any means the benefits of a neck guard far outweigh any discomfort.

After discussion in class I understand how some could define poker as a sport. However for me I have trouble looking past the luck elements as well as the relative ease to play at the highest level in comparison to traditional sport.

I agree with you on the physical activity portion, but I wonder if “gets your heart rate up” is to lose of a definition. watching a movie can get your heart rate up but I don’t think anyone would argue that it constitutes a sport.
