with Zelda I can sorta understand because there's not really anything that's Zelda-like to scratch the itch (and while I do love BotW/TotK I do think I prefer the old style)
but the thing is Echoes of Wisdom just came out *last year* and used the old formula so like, it's not abandoned or anything.

4 is garbage, 5 is experimentsl but good, 6 competes with 3 for best in the series.
If you play them play the Colonel version of 5, it’s the canon one and characters from it continue into 6.
