Amazon is helping fund a $300 million build of a ballroom for the White House.

Independent bookstores are donating to food banks and organizations that help with food insecurity.

They are not the same.

Reading is so important. I’ve ramped up my reading after a ten year hiatus due to work and having a kid, but over the last two years I’ve been able to live so many lives thanks to to the incredible stories I’ve read.

We are posting this placard at all of our offices and asking our union contract farms to post as well.

We encourage our friends to put up similar placards at their business as immigration agents do not have the right to go on private property without permission.

We’ll never know what could have been, but we do know they chose to believe him and not her, and now they are making up excuses for their votes that put us all in harm’s way.

Don’t think this is a one-off.

Happy #independentbookstoreday! Hitting the 14 shops that are a part of the #sdbookcrawl with three besties. This is going to be my favorite day ever.

Also, if you can help it, don’t fall for Amazon’s book sale happening today. Fuck then. Shop independent.

The only real valid reason to use AI… seeing what your cat would look like as a human. Dingleberry | Dennis. Or maybe Dirk?

Can’t sleep. I think it’s important for the world to see my very rare cat breed, the Squared Off Goppernopper. Dingleberry, you gorgeous beast.

April 26th-28th is the 2025 San Diego Book Crawl, featuring 14 #independent bookstores from Del Mar through Downtown. Three of my best book-loving girlfriends and I have cleared our weekend to hit as many as humanly possible.

This is my Super Bowl.

Let it be known that today, February 16, 2025, my husband just agreed to future-me getting a golden retriever puppy in exchange for present-him getting to get $30 of new plants from the nursery. He is fully aware that his adhd is making a terrible deal but he regrets nothing… for now.

Every so often I see this posted:
“hear me out:
- The scholastic book fair
- For adults
- At a bar”

& almost every time someone will respond, “Mychal’s been trying to create an Adult Scholastic Book Fair! He wants the funds dedicated to local schools to ensure no kid goes home empty-handed.”
