Yes, Goodison was too small. The facilities were poor. It was scruffy. It was a tatty shed of a stadium.
But the smells, the pushing and shoving, the cramped seats.

He isn't a gifted player when beating a man with the ball at his feet. More often than not, he'll lose possession and end up on his arse.
But give him half a chance and he'll nail it.
