Also if you do conventions at all like MAGfest, DragonCon, etc. -- bring your 3DS. Real ones are there in full force and the StreetPasses go crazy even in 2025.

There's a Homebrew app for the 3DS called NetPass, which lets you visit virtual spots like a fake mall, arcade, etc. and StreetPass whoever else has recently visited.
I started on a fresh 3DS in January and I've already completed all the puzzles. :3 You get a lil medal for doin it. Do recommend!

I have a couple friends in animation and film and hear similar stories all the time. At this point, the Gig Economy continues to devastate just about every industry imaginable; seems especially brutal to our fellow creatives. Make something cool > company disbands > get re-hired

The games industry is smaller than you think; people generally feel like they can't afford to burn - or even apply a small amount of heat to - a single bridge because it could create friction with other entities that might be tied to whatever job you need next.
