THIS. Frustration tolerance is the key to getting good at anything at all, not just art. Socials media makes it so easy to compare yourself to others, but you just have to ignore that and have fun with your little drawings. Do it enough and you'll eventually get better through trial and error.
Being unable to tolerate frustration + chasing social media clout gotta be a big reason why ppl jumped on the gen ai machine to churn out slop

THIS. Frustration tolerance is the key to getting good at anything at all, not just art. Socials media makes it so easy to compare yourself to others, but you just have to ignore that and have fun with your little drawings. Do it enough and you'll eventually get better through trial and error.

I'll avoid dunking since I have nothing new to add, but I'll say that art is a mindset. You should be enjoying the process in *some* way, despite the struggle. This was a pleasant way to spend an evening. Because let's be honest, if I want art of my OCs from 23 years ago, I have to draw them myself.

Linux is a very international community, and in at least one case the video creator mentioned they were embarrassed by their accent when speaking English. That should not be a barrier! You're doing an entire tutorial in a whole other language, that on its' own is amazing! 😭
Watching more Linux videos exposes me to a bunch of AI-voiced tutorials. Often the uploaders say they're shy or don't like the sound of their voice, etc. It's the same handful of voices, usually the most flat, monotonous recitation you've ever heard (or weirdly chipper). I'm SICK OF IT

They make me vaguely nauseous to look at.
They look horrible.
And they only have the 2 faces so they are everywhere

Ive got some doctors appointments next week I need to cover the transportation and copays for so I'd greatly appreciate any help. I understand it's a rough time for everyone though.
