And I assume there’s no methodology for the defense to try to verify whether or not the foreman was honest?

Was just asking this question elsewhere. Was that "messier" indictment ever signed/officially marked as approved? Becasue elsewhere, it's been said they had the GJ foreman sign the *not seen by the GJ* indictment. So did the foreman sign twice?

It’s more fun in a blue state. In a red state, the legislators and governor all act like the people in the state capitol (which is probably blue) have cooties that could cause them to catch liberalism.

Boss: “Hey, have you got a minute?”
Me: heart palpitations
Boss: “Just wanted you to know we got some very positive feedback on your work.”

I was just coming to say that these days I’m past abolish and on to prosecute.

The extreme position these days probably can’t be stated for trust and safety reasons.

Can even a chunk of American voters elect someone who actually wants good things for us despite all the rich, powerful people opposing it?

Let’s find out if we can have any hope for more of it in the future.

Every time I see something like this, I think, “am I pronouncing it wrong?” Then I go look for sources and I’m usually at least close to accurate to the extent that I can hear a difference, then I listen to people mispronounce it and go, “How the hell did you even get that sound from that name?”

It would be fascinating - if we are so lucky for a regular government to return without major changes to our system of government - to see gov lawyers who had left under Trump return and learn that their previous status had been lost by the Trump years and suddenly have to be accountable.

If I’m any foreign nation, I’m not trusting anything we say until we can show at minimum 3-4 contiguous presidencies of sane electeds. First president post-MAGA is gonna have issues getting anyone to agree to anything that lasts longer the whatever the remainder of the current term is.

I was in college, working in the helpdesk, & I needed things to read. Webcomics became the thing. Some fell off over the years, I lost others after Google Reader died. But AGAHF, Schlock, and EGS stuck on my always follows. I’ve picked up others like Side Quested along the way, but those were core.

So many mixed emotions. I appreciate how you’ve handled the ending. I don’t remember when I started reading AGAHF. Maybe sometime like 2006? Huge emotions and so happy for you.

Augh, I was just getting over @howardtayler.bsky.social ‘s Schlock Mercenary ending. Looking forward to what’s next!

Can say previous AI pushes have only been partially stoppable with group policies, and it's a sort of cat and mouse game as the release new features which coincidentally aren't blocked by the policies you already applied. Like whack-a-mole.

Watching the Mariners play this postseason has left me very impressed with the work a good catcher does, and how *much* of it they do compared to other players who rotate out more often or have more inactivity between plays.

Talk to me so I can ask you questions to verify understanding and hear your tone as well as read your speech. I don’t want an email thread that’s 9 emails deep and going when a simple 10 minute phone conversation could have cleared this up.

The typical saying about Grand Juries is that any prosecutor could get one to indict a ham sandwich if they wanted to.

Hence all the “couldn’t indict a sandwich thrower” jokes when that one got no billed.

There was one in a town in Indiana I lived in for a year. Guy I knew drove a food truck under it and sheared off the air conditioner units on the roof.

I had been in said vehicle before, and there were clear, accurate height warnings of how tall the vehicle was, and the bridge had a ton of signage.

Note: this is not saying they shouldn't have done it.So long as it helps, they should do it. Just noting that people will continue to be both dumb and stubborn.
