There is no understanding of trans oppression that at all places the emphasis on a hostile society that punishes us for our transgressions against cissexist ideals. People do not understand how much of our "gender distress" comes from being actively punished, brutalized, violated by patriarchy.

"No one thinks trans people change sex", "women can be male", "gender affirming care", "GRS"--so much trans politics has been developing euphemistic language to soothe the understanding of cis people, even "supportive" "allies", in a way that preserves "sex" as an immutable category.

TERF was coined to distinguish a kind of feminism from other kinds of feminism for its use to attack trans people specifically. It doesn't have utility outside of discussions about feminism and bigotry within it.

Please also do not carry on trying to push for the redefinition of "TERF" as "female transphobe", because that latter definition really is just misogynist - seeing it as worse to be transphobic as a woman than as a man.
