Also consider their team is largely a juggernaut because they have Cossa stopping 94.5% of every shot he faces

Anyway I have no idea if Cossa will translate upwards. But in general, yes sv% does translate upwards. At minimum it seems incredibly unlikely he would be worse. So they should give it a shot.

Wings defense is shaky sometimes, but in expected goals against all situations, the Red Wings are 15th in the league - nearly dead average. There are bunch of teams with worse defense than Detroit.

It’s the goalies. They’ve been extremely bad.
