Wings have steadily gotten themselves into this game after the first 25ish mins was kinda tough to watch. Have been the clear better team for a bit now.

Brad’s point here on Hughes that it should not be possible for another team to outbid Detroit is spot on. No team has more youth/futures than the Wings, so this trade should boil down to 1) would Hughes extend and 2) is Vancouver happy with futures.

Going to register one fairly hot/warm prediction for this season. Between Boston, Toronto, and Florida, 2 of the 3 will miss the playoffs this season.

The decision to fire Stoops is a costly one. His contract calls for a $36 million buyout, all of which is due within 60 days, a result of extensions from Stoops’ winning years.
