I used to tweet about Red Wings and stats a lot. Maybe I’ll do it again.
Friedman says the Rangers are looking for a PP QB option while Fox is out and Erik Gustafsson is one of the primary names they're considering. Would make a lot of sense.

I’m gonna say something highly provocative but I think it has merit

Moritz Seider deserves not just Norris Trophy consideration, but MVP consideration

The Wings absolutely fall apart when he’s not on the ice

Jonathan Bernier put up a .907 behind this

Dude should have won the Vezina

I sort of feel like I’m going crazy with the way the Wings fan base discusses their goaltending right now. Some sv% numbers from this season

Cossa: .945 (in AHL, #1 by a mile)
NHL Average: .904
Talbot: .884
Gibson: .868

I dunno, it really is that simple.

I’m a little baffled as to why they’re making such a big deal over this OPI. It was declined! It didn’t matter.

The skycam feed amazon does for Thursday night football is really such a great experience.

Wings lucky to avoid too many men there I think

To be fair this game has felt destined to be 6-5 for like an hour so this all checks out

ESPN crowd mics are apparently inside the goal horn

If the Wings win this, they will move to 2nd in the Atlantic.

If they lose in regulation they will fall to 5th.

Unserious division

I think the craziest part of this absolutely insane game is that almost literally nothing happened the entire first period, while the second and third have been pure descents into madness

Wings have steadily gotten themselves into this game after the first 25ish mins was kinda tough to watch. Have been the clear better team for a bit now.

I absolutely refuse to believe Morgan Geekie is on pace for SIXTY TWO GOALS
December 5, 2025 at 2:24 AM
Red Wings have now given up 3+ goals in 8 consecutive games.

Talk about the defense all you want. I don’t really disagree. But the goalie’s job is to bail you out occasionally, and that’s just never happening

Brad’s point here on Hughes that it should not be possible for another team to outbid Detroit is spot on. No team has more youth/futures than the Wings, so this trade should boil down to 1) would Hughes extend and 2) is Vancouver happy with futures.

If both are yes, then he should be a Red Wing

Still feeling very, very good about this prediction
Going to register one fairly hot/warm prediction for this season. Between Boston, Toronto, and Florida, 2 of the 3 will miss the playoffs this season.

AHL goalie of the week, AHL goalie of the month, and Hockeytown West First Star of the Week!

Sebastian Cossa is doing it all and his performance last week clearly deserves our first star of the week award

Man even when Gibson is having a nice game relative to his usual standard he goes and does that.

Very cool to have an epidemic of schools crying poor over player compensation while also seeing a basketball school drop a $36M check to fire the winningest coach in their football program's entire history.
The decision to fire Stoops is a costly one. His contract calls for a $36 million buyout, all of which is due within 60 days, a result of extensions from Stoops’ winning years.

The Wildcats had a great run under a portion of Stoops' tenure but have looked dreadful recently.
