I'm not a demographics person, but please, bear with me:

1.6% of 5.4m = 86,400 increase in population 2024

35,173 people died in Ireland in 2024

70,000 people emigrated from Ireland in 2024 (c. 20,000 of which = non Irish citizens)

So. More people left than gained. (Cont.)

There are also three genuinely international level parks within 20-30 min walks/10 min bike rides: Fitzy’s, the Lough and the Marina.

(Well maybe ‘international level’ is a bit of a stretch with the Lough. But it is absolutely daycent.)

Get yourself a real good telescope

I read the first 300 or so words of that. It would seem that my brain simply isn't smooth enough to fully appreciate the quality of the prose.
