Just went down a rabbit hole looking for this (CPUC testimony) and came up empty, got a link? The 100x figure seems to be against public reporting from The Verge, Ars Technica, others…

I’m more open to it being possible, but not assured. Feels like a hard thing to judge short term. Bigger change would be if in car-dependent cities you could do without a car. That would be a meaningful change to the economy if car ownership went down/wasn’t necessary

It’s an interesting question that I’ve not really looked up the data on…now I’m wondering if Waymo markets have material decreases in traffic incidents, drunk driving, etc… vs before introduction

We hosted some folks from the LSE recently, I get the impression they are doing a lot of road shows to growth and venture funds to churn up IPOs and PISCES companies. Anyway, I’d say they are not taking this stuff very serious. Maybe they know something I don’t, but I’d be more worried if it was me

I wonder a lot about the minutiae of the potential underwriting here…financing this seems sorta full of very high consequence risks that are not inside your traditional infrastructure investing data set
(I get that’s not the salient issue here)

A diff dependent with a diff set of victims but ~the same crimes would have gotten less. She effectively got Capone’d…guilty of a lot, but convicted of the financial crime and sentenced as if found guilty for everything… minus, y’know, the murder
She got 11+3, Shkreli got 7 for a literal ponzi
