✨With Love, From the Road✨

Birds eye view of this #brokenstar quilt, where it’ll likely live until the first trip of the year. The quilting pattern is Malachite from Urban Elementz, which will serve as a perfect roadmap for the hand quilting I’ll be adding next week.

✨With love, from the Road ✨

Another corner of this beauty. I had to hunt for just 3 new fabrics while piecing this fever dream of a rainbow quilt. The rest came from the travel fabric or my own stash of inherited cotton. #brokenstarquilt #lonestarquilt

‘With love, from the road.’

I’ve spent the last few years visiting small quilt shops all over the country while on motorcycle trips, picking up fabrics that really spoke to me. I’ve finally sliced into them, and this ‘Broken Star’ is the first of a series that will bloom from those fabrics.

Plotting my re-immersion into jacket making.. I’ve spent some time over the last few weeks ice-dyeing raw canvas and planning new color combos.

There’s something about the potential in a stack of fabric cut for a quilt. It’s already on its way, most of the transformation is done.
