it's valid for groups to not let everyone in, because the goal is to feel safe. people want to just be around their close friends which is completely fine.

i'm not in the bsky cult. maybe the word "cult" throws people off, but it's just a group of friends hanging together. same with nyx cult. not being in a group doesn't mean it's a secret hate club.

it started because of one thing but so many people started piling on and attacking everyone who's close to sego. lexa was bullied off this hell app, and some of the bsky cult people have left too.

i think it's easy for some to forget that while this is the internet, there are people behind the screen. real people are seeing the blatant hatred and bigotry that is said here, and i don't blame anyone for admitting it's taken a toll.
