What's struck me a lot about Prime 4 early on is that I don't disagree with the "it feels like an iterative version of a decades-old game," but at the end of the day, no one is really making games like Metroid Prime. It's a very unique style/execution.

In past videogame generations having games ready to accompany movies, even releasing before the movie itself, was pretty commonplace. To think we'd be looking back appreciatively at such practices today!

People are now being encouraged to let AI to do their thinking for them, which follows more than a decade of having their thinking based on their preferred youtubers and influencers. The rejection of uncomfortable art by some for its very nature of being uncomfortable is dangerous and unfortunate.
