Tired & anxious. Christian, artist, writer, crafter, reader, coffee drinker, Cincinnatian. She/her.
Still thinking about the time my coworker complained about spending $50 on ingredients for a pot of chili and I offered to teach him some cheap cooking hacks and he said “uh, no” as if I’m the crazy one here

Embarrassing that the president of the United States is busy appealing his felony conviction while 41.7 million Americans are about to lose access to food and also he’s building a $300 million ballroom 🙃

Tonight’s hot date with the husbae: dinner at Five Guys, followed by a visit to Play It Again Sports to buy a bench and a few free weights for our little basement gym. Very romantic, very hot girl autumn, very heavy carrying in this gear, might be time for ice cream and a movie

Funny how everything Trump posts is AI slop but he called the Canada Reagan ad fake 🤦🏻‍♀️

Remember when Umbridge was giving a speech which sounded like rambling nonsense and Hermione was like “no no pay attention this is sinister”

Pay attention, this is sinister

I really think that meeting could have been an email

After work I stopped at the store and bought a 12-pack of Dr Pepper, a toilet auger, ant bait traps, a tv antenna, a pack of lindor truffles, a set of three wool dryer balls, a gallon of apple cider, and a card game which was marked down to $5.

This is 30. This is home-owning.

I know this isn’t important in the grand scheme but I just spotted a spelling error in a fake newspaper in a tv drama from 2002 and that’s honestly gonna bug me for a while

I don’t know how the Detroit Free Press showed up in my Facebook feed (stupid algo don’t know nothin’) but this headline is sending me 😂😂

Being an adult is so fun

I’ve cried nearly every day this summer

I’ve been trying to figure something out ever since the update and I’ve finally got it: the new Goodreads logo looks like a microscope

In: squirrel dinner (nuts, seeds, trail mix, small fruits such as grapes, etc)

I keep hearing about the Gen Z stare, meanwhile I’m an anxious millennial, I can barely even make eye contact

5am, 71° and 95% humidity. The air feels like warm swimming pool

Perks of marriage: any time I feel nervous about anything to do with schedules or adulting, I just have to say “let me talk with my husband and get back to you on that,” not because I need his permission for anything, it’s purely because I prefer talking to him over any other person

I love food. Love eating, love cooking. I never lose my appetite unless I’m physically sick. Up until now I thought I was an stress-eater, but this week I’ve learned that’s only true to a certain point. That’s how I know this has been the most stressful week of my life 🙃 yay for self-discovery?

On Juneteenth, we celebrate freedom and recommit ourselves to the work that remains undone. We remember that even in the darkest hours, there is cause to hope for tomorrow’s light.

The trouble with being a collage artist is you collect bits & odds & ends and sometimes you have to weed things out, but then later on you think of a bit you want to use but can’t find it, and begin to fear you may have thrown it out.

Good news: I found the little stencils I was looking for!

Stay safe out there, everyone! Eyes open, hands calm, hearts courageous. Your voice matters. Thank you for speaking out in peace and courage today!

Restaurant chain sent me a “we miss you” freebie (it’s been 3 months). Not sure a free iced tea is enough to lure me. Wish I could negotiate for a better offer but it turns out the guy who wrote “The Art of the Deal” is a quack so I just don’t know where to turn for advice anymore 😢

Anxiety is fun because I scheduled some adulting for later this week and now I have to convince myself I’m not about to get eaten by a pack of alligators 🤪

Tonight I’m doing some sketches for a project. I realized this might be the oddest thing I’ve ever drawn. Presenting: an octopus playing an oboe!

The arms and the oboe itself need a lot of work but I’m pleased with the pose and the general form. Here’s to making weird fun things after a long day!

Senator Ted Cruz posted a dramatic video of LAPD cars on fire with the caption “this… is… not… peaceful.” What he didn’t mention? The footage was from 2020, not 2025. His post on X falsely implied it was current, part of a broader effort to spread lies and manufacture a crisis.
