2026 started exceptionally well for our #pets as the neighbourhood stayed silent, with barely any #fireworks.

It seems obvious that any human being should be disgusted if a government is actively trying to erase the sacrifices made by a section of their armed forces - dishonouring them - ideologically diametrically opposed to what the decent ppl of Margraten have committed doing - because of skin colour.

many local families and schools keep the legacy of each of the fallen alive through the ‘adoption’ program: their contribution is far more poignant and meaningful than me paying respect and taking my children to show the dangers of divisive politics and fascism - that sadly is on the rise again.

10,000 fallen are commemorated in Margraten; I pay my respects to all of them when I can. I hope the US can find its way back to a place where this type of thing is considered not normal. And they elect a government that would not disrespect its service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.

2012 was rubbish. Let’s make it 1985.
