We ended the fall convening season for our 8th & 9th Grade On-Track teams with inspiring collaboration and deep learning! Educators explored multiple opportunities for grading and how student discourse helps students reason, build on each other’s ideas, and adapt their understanding in action!

That’s a wrap on our P3 Collaboration Fall convenings! District teams explored testing new ideas, facilitating rich discussions, and building alignment across early grade classrooms. Professor Megan Franke shared effective Math teaching practices and districts shared big ideas with each other!

School leaders from Empire Union, Los Banos, Modesto City, Napa Valley, Pajaro Valley, Twin Rivers, & Vallejo City kicked off their first year of a three-year On-Track Collaboration. They began laying the foundation to strengthen systems, deepen collaboration, and support school sites!

Burbank, Hollister/San Benito, Modesto, Sanger, Santa Paula, & Twin Rivers Districts wrapped their 1st year of a 3 year On Track collaboration. District teams deepened their knowledge of standards, rigor of assessments & instruction, and strengthened their systems to use data for decision-making!

Hands on math is fun for all ages and offers reflection opportunities beyond math. P3CC district improvement teams worked together to test changes to find out how to get their coin to spin for the longest amount of time then discuss how the activity connects to the team's P3CC work.

Our district partners are creating a comprehensive and coherent system of learning that builds on itself as students move through the system. At a recent gathering in Sacramento P3CC improvement teams looked at the progression of a concept from PK-3rd grade in a card sorting activity.
