The D/F rate of Lake Tahoe Unified School District's students in 8th grade Math has decreased by over 30% since 22-23. At the high school, the D/F rate has decreased in Math 1 by 15% even after enrolling all 9th students in A-G Integrated Math 1.

Hands on math is fun for all ages and offers reflection opportunities beyond math. P3CC district improvement teams worked together to test changes to find out how to get their coin to spin for the longest amount of time then discuss how the activity connects to the team's P3CC work.

Our 3 year collaboration with Grass Valley School District supported approaches with an emphasis on teacher leadership, internal accountability, and strategic data use. Through first piloting in a few classrooms then scaling across the district, student performances improved.
