Okay but like, sharp drops in gas prices is really bad guys — in July 2008, gas prices were at a record high. In December 2008, prices were at all time lows. Market crashed very shortly after —> Great Recession.

One of my annual goals this year is to get trained and certified in emergency preparedness. I’m a prepper. My new boss has no idea.

People are rediscovering Imogen Heap. And I’m here for it — but is Zach Braff about to have an indie movie resurgence too?

I should probably tweet about what’s going on with this school situation. It’s a little long, but really important. We’re struggling to get a news station to cover it because it’s “just an elementary district” but dude, it’s so bad. Like brown vs board bad.

Through my work to help save Heard School, I’ve met wonderful families in my neighborhood. My son is too young to attend, but I assumed all schools in a district were similar. I’ve since learned Heard is deeply underfunded. Some get Robotics Club & Disneyland trips, Heard students often miss out.

I’m very seriously considering quitting my job and starting a micro school because I’m so concerned that so many of these children in my neighborhood who have parents who rely on them being home from school right at 2:30 will leave education all together.

My husband is recalling a school board member. 🙃

After watching teachers abandon their students in this school closure, it’ll be a really long time before I stand up for teachers — they’ll strike for paychecks but not to protect their disenfranchised students and will take bribes and buyouts. The school isn’t closing because of money or enrollment.

People keep telling me I should send my kids to farther away schools like Kenilworth or Shaw (which by the way, is misusing desegregation funds to build a segregated school) and like, why wouldn’t I just go .3 miles to another district that doesn’t actively oppress its students?

The phoenix elementary school closures should be national news but we can barely get anyone to cover it.

I would like off this corrupt school board ride I found myself on.

I wish I had a much bigger social media presence because this is my neighborhood school. It primarily serves black, English learners and children with disabilities. They want to close it and ship neighborhood kids miles away and aren’t providing equitable bus service.

Incredible that more than 70 years later, and under court orders that this has persisted. This article is older, but I can guarantee you, it’s still happening. 😕

I think the worst part about this country is that there are people who would much rather have kids suffer because they are so racist.

If we can’t use the word equity anymore, does this mean we can finally get to ditch private equity? The actual evil? Asking for a friend.

I had a townhall tonight with my AZ-3 rep and I am beyond haunted that this is happening. People that are my neighbors are scared. Very scared. And it’s anyone who isn’t white. I hate everything.

Help. I just had a super enlightening conversation with MAGA on TikTok. They don’t believe that the government would ever round up non criminals so they don’t understand why we’re collectively losing our mind BUT they want government social services. Bad.

I’ve realized I need to reread the Bible because I think we definitely didn’t study the same parts of the Bible if they’re calling the Bishop’s speech political activism and introduced H. Res. 59
about it.

I just had a realization and my cameras confirm it — I haven’t seen unhoused traffic walking through my area or camping in my area in a few days and I find that a bit unsettling.

I really picked a bad time in history to not drink. Like, I don’t remember much of 2008-2011 because I was just a drunken mess. 🤣🤣🤣
