In HS (1970s), my parents installed what they called "kitchen carpet." My engineer dad bragged that stains could be cut out w a cookie cutter tool and replaced w a new piece of carpet. Within a day, my brother glopped a chunk of something on the floor, and I think my dad was like, Oh, the kids...

I agree --in that setting with AOC and Sanders. But general protests--Hands Off, etc--are not like that.
