I also worry that THE INDUSTRY (tm) is taking the wrong lesson from it, which is "SEE HOW SMALL THEIR TEAM IS? LET'S LAY EVERYBODY OFF". Like, I think the narrative of "12-people made a AAA game" is pernicious (not that the team is bolstering it, mind you)

I've never seen a game that's so universally loved but at the same time people have to trip over themselves to defend their love of it or to bring it down. What a weird world.
