Weird TO me: as a schoolgirl I would read while walking to the bus stop. One morning I was walking, head in my book, when out of the hedge came a man and his dog. The man was holding a rifle. I think my heart stopped! He apologised and went on his way. I couldn’t move. I missed my bus!

My Uncle Nye. He wasn’t a real uncle, just a close friend of my grandfather’s. Both of them must be turning in their graves!

I, on the other hand, am being ignored. However, if I start sewing, he’ll wake in an instant and stop me.
