Me, 3pm: right, get a skirt for xmas party, not expensive and definitely don't buy a pattern and fabric to make one cos you've got 10 days.

Me, 4.15pm and $130 later from Spotlight: haha what.

This childproof system to prevent kids getting the coin batteries out of the packaging is apparently also Kateproof.

IKEA must be the only website that doesn't auto-redirect to the country one.

If I was so deeply insecure about my own abilities despite having millions of sycophants praising me to the skies and hanging on my every word, I like to think that I wouldn't be so dumb, and open myself up to such abject mockery, as to manipulate my site's bot into saying I'm better than Jesus.

Surely all the Beeb has to respond to Mango Mussolini is reply "I refer you to the response given in Arkell v Pressdram".

In rare 'government does something right' shock news, my local doctor's surgery has gone fully bulk billed (to those outside Aus, it means that it's free).

Been watching kdrama (although krom-com would be more accurate) "Business Proposal" and the two things I have learned about Korea from it is that a) everyone bows a lot and b) everyone gets shitfaced ALL THE TIME.

Highly recommended by the way. Funny and cute. Watch in Korean with subs.

This is an appalling headline, thankfully the article (as usual) is more nuanced. As someone with F-cup boobs who gets open sores underneath in hot weather, the headline writer can fuck right off.

Never understood how a project in which people would potentially have to travel 170km just to visit someone in the same 'city' was even given the go-ahead. There's a reason cities tend towards circles!
NEW: The End of the Line: the centrepiece of Saudi Arabia’s Neom gigaproject - a 500m tall, 170km long wall-like building intended ultimately to house 9 million people - can’t get out of the ground, say more than 20 former Neom architects, engineers and senior executives.

I caught the trailer for this the other day and it honestly looked pretty awful so this is a fairly good review under the circumstances. Sean Bean as the Sheriff (if anyone could step into Rickman's shoes...), a good-looking cast and some bonking? Could be worth a weekend view.

Wait is the 'World' Series still going on? We've had world wars that went for a shorter time.

Forgot how completely awful I am at 3D modelling, so there's a plus.

Fortunately this is just for the Derpy plushy core pattern so it doesn't have to be anywhere near perfect.

The issue with the bed not working is kind of hilarious but it also smacks of product design fail - surely 'not being able to connect to the internet' is a fairly basic issue that the bed should be able to work around - e.g. by connecting to a phone via Bluetooth.

Surely this is more a case of 'what led a 13-year-old to swallow a bunch of magnets' rather than safety of the magnets per se. A toddler might think they are sweets, a 13-y-o is going to know better.
