My Fave 'B' Games - No.45

Buck Rogers: Planet of Zoom

One of the C64’s earliest arcade conversions (1983), BRPOZ is a bog-standard version of the Sega original. The 3D effect is pretty good for ’83, but the graphics are blocky, the sound is weak and the gameplay is very repetitive.

The #C64 A to Z continues...

45 of the finest games to grace the #C64 beginning with the letter 'B'.

(TBF the bottom 10 are a bit crap but I played them quite a bit, so they're worth mentioning)

Alleykat, Alleykat,
What are they feeding you?
Alleykat, Alleykat,
It’s not your fault!

You’re a racer, a blaster, a flying machine,
Graphics are cool and the sound is a dream.

It's clear to see, Alleykat is ace!

Aliens

Aliens is an atmospheric title that effectively captures the film’s vibe with dark visuals and bursts of panic-filled sound. Managing multiple marines is challenging, but its tension & cinematic feel made it one of the best film tie-ins at the time.
