Spotted my nemesis lounging on the porch. Destroyer of brassica. Devourer of broccoli, cauliflower, and kale 😡

"intriguing" is not the adjective I would use to describe the administration's attempt to deport Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a third country 😑 wtf 😑

Went from skeptical to super invested in The Swimmer (1968), a fascinating film about suburban male delusion. Burt Lancaster's performance of naive, self-destructive toxic masculinity is a marvel. On criterion.

Wonderful to hear Argentine journalist and writer Martín Caparrós discuss the state of journalism in Latin America, a witty takedown of clickbait and a defense of writing for a public that might not yet exist

The archives will be transcribed and digitized (with sensitive info redacted) for researchers to use online or in Cornell's archive. Very precious to have these accounts that are self-fashioned without the mediation of the court or of journalists

The eco-aesthetic gimmick embodies the messy complexity of artmaking in the Capitalocene, in which a tenuous line is drawn btwn aesthetic & ethical experience, & the desire for art to solve climate change ends up positioning it as a substitute for political action.

Fascinating novella of a monologue given by the Iranian curator at the opening of a museum dedicated to the sounds of torture. The museum is not a monument to victims, but a celebration of torture and torturers. Disturbing and riveting exploration of how the state appropriates forms of critique.
