Then substitute another, free ID to be considered valid. Otherwise, you get a poll tax and/or the crap that Texas pulled where IDs that are more common among right-wingers, like fishing licenses, are allowed, but IDs more common among left-wingers, like college students, aren't.

Maybe, but an ID requirement must include a requirement that states provide a Real ID free of charge that can be used for voting.
