My grandfather was drafted into the US Army on 11/17/1941. He was in Camp Wheeler GA completing basic training when word spread that the Japanese had bombed Pearl Harbor. The next 3 years would send this son of German immigrants to New Zealand, Fiji, Guadalcanal, New Georgia and Bougainville.

So many things in this world we cannot control. It’s pretty gloomy out there in the real world but it is Christmas up in here. And that makes me happy.

After severely over proofing the last go around, nice to have some redemption. No pro grade, but good enough for me!

My wife is out of town this weekend. I can go absolutely wild. Which for me means I’m going to destroy my kitchen making bread.
