It’s not always possible to adapt every bit of teaching. But when educators bother to at least *acknowledge* their students’ individual strengths and interests (without embarrassing them) it makes a huge difference.

Today a lecturer spoke to me in private and apologised that the lecture content was so dumbed down because she could tell I wasn’t learning anything I didn’t already know. It’s the most honest interaction I’ve had with anyone since I started the course.
