I am super happy with how kiddo's costume came out this year. At trunk or treat, so many kids, recognized his character & he even roleplayed by "stalking" the playground at the event lol. I kept hearing "99 nights!!" "it's a crossbow cultist!" "bro, I love your costume!" best of all: he is happy.

My son and I playing in a corn pit at a fall fest this past weekend, wnd progress pics of his crossbow and his costume for fitting.

Did some bookbinding using upcycled book covers from The Book Rescuers in Largo, Florida and planing wood pieces to make more cradled panels for painting. I'm falling into other hobbies outside of painting. Am I avoiding painting? Maybe 😂.

It's nice to go back and actually experiment with different techniques. I love mixing metallic pigments into paint, and painting with string dipped into acrylic wash. Both are methods I've used since my undergrad classes. #artprocess #gold #surrealart #portrait #art

WIP for "Can't filter out the noise!". I may swap yellow and red to be like alternating mouths. The teeth motif, from various indigenous Filipino groups, can mean protection, defense or ferocity. Defense against evil spirits who stop to count the teeth & become too dizzy to do harm. #digitalart

WIP today of "I can't filter out the noise!" I used the tracing layer option in Rebelle, to block the colors. I've realized the colors picked, are not all in my chosen palette but I can fix that with glazes. 😜
