also it's been easier in general for me to make drawings that feel joyful. i write music too and it feels natural to write things with a sinister or desolate vibe. and i take lots of pictures on my walks so i have those liminal spaces to use as thumbnail art 😅✌🏻 5/5

i don't really explore themes with my polished tf art, they've always been self-indulgent projects that satisfy my complexity addiction. after i work through some things, i might start pushing more to tell the stories i want to tell. i had a lot of concepts on the back burner for a while now 4/5

and maybe there's a sense of that too just existing at night. everything is dark, there's new risks and challenges. but you sneak into a hidden place and you have this new insight into the world you just stepped away from and it becomes so empowering to embrace that 3/5

i feel like shrinking as a theme embodies that kind of disconnect. certainly, the familiar becomes unfamiliar considering the size change; how do you appropriately translate the danger of your new environment considering your size, etc, etc 2/5

i was a military brat growing up and my current lifestyle focuses on nights so there's certainly a baseline sense of disconnect and liminality that i experience. i'll go for a walk after work and have this sense of "i shouldn't be here" 1/5
