Trying to walk a mile a day at the moment to a) get me back to work and b) stop me going stir crazy. Today's walk at Ogden Reservoir.

The view from the side in shadow is also spectacular.
Another view from the side of the spire in the previous post, this time taken looking up at the side in shadow. The good accents still gleam, but the sides of the corkscrew look a rich grey blue colour with a wonderful contrast.

In brighter news, look at this church spire I climbed in Copenhagen last week. 400 steps and the last is on the outside. The Church of our saviour.

#SundayPixRailway we are off on our jollies today, and A has tolerated my desire to jaunt across London to see the #RedRoses by the eye. As a result, we have ended up at Blackfriars, the station is a bridge over the Thames.

New tattoo! Finished for the day. Another day of shading, and something for the gap, it already looks so good.

Went out to the Himalayan garden and sculpture park outside Ripon today. If anyone can ID the pink and white plant I'd appreciate it. Google thinks it is either a fuschia or a hydrangea. And I'm not sure of either ID.

In the centre of the same plant are small, 5 petal flowers which looks like little pink stars. I do not know what the flower is. A path of hundreds of blue ceramic poppies winding up the hill.

I missed a chance to get a pic of the cyclists on the London to Brighton ride today for SundayPix, but I did get this snap, and I cannot exaggerate how much joy this flat cap has brought people today.

Look at these rhododendron flowers I shot in the park yesterday. I love the spotty orange against the pink.

Found a cave. It's called Wet Cave. I would say it was slightly damp at most.

The knitting is apparently optional tonight. Not pictured: the way he instantly perked up the second I touched yarn. He couldn't see it. But he knows.

This week's #Loaf: bacon and sausage (caramelised onion chutney sausage) there may be a mid-week batch of multi-seed for some sandwiches later in the week.
A round loaf of bread sits on a wire Rack over the sink. It is rustic, golden brown and cracked on top, you can see bits of bacon and sausage that are embedded into the loaf.

#SundayPixBox two boxes today, one inevitably featuring a cat and the other ancient, from the handling table at the British museum.
A tiny box, used as a weight or possibly a seal? From more centuries ago than I can remember. It has a width of about 1.5 fingers and a swirly pattern is engraved on lid. The view is of above a cardboard box. From the depth of the box a black cat is staring back.

A nice Saturday and another load of bread. I think this is going to become a tradition. This week, Gruyere, cheddar and ham hock. A has requested breakfast in bread for his birthday loaf next week.
