My favorite reads are character driven plots with elements of fantasy and mystery. I write the same.

I just had to deal with passive aggressive BS from my in-laws and their family for about 15 years. Kinda bizarre how women will jump through hoops in order to praise their favorite's decision to use her married name. IDGAF what u do but keeping maiden name is not a burden. The exact opposite IMO

Pretty sure that is an AI image

Last night I was wondering why I feel overwhelmed by this latest book project. It's written! I should be happy! But deep down I knew some things were wrong and my gut on this has always been proved right. So a lot of things need rearranging at this point. #booksky #writingcommunity

As a reader, if the writing is good & the character captures my attention, I'm willing to wait & let the story unfold. This is not todays reader. Watch an old Columbo ep & see lots of credits as the killer moves about prepping for the murder. Wouldn't fly now #writerscommunity #booksky

I can fall into a trap of writing in an older style. What do I mean by that? Long chapters that while interesting & well written don't have the punch that newer books need in order 2 capture the reader's attention. Whether you like it or not, we have a new breed of readers #writerscommunity #booksky

Unfortunately there is no way that I know (currently) to protect your written work from being AI scraped and replicated. This is going to be a huge problem for Indie authors. Laughable are the Indie authors running to embrace AI for they will fall on its sword.

Another option to protect your artwork from AI scraping is Glaze

She is! I mean some of her later works get very poetical and wander about - but a true classic fantasy author that didn't get the appreciation she should have.

it is - and it surprised me bc usually I get solid reviewers from NetGalley.

Don't know if you are aware @netgalley but reviewers who never reviewed (and now can't get MORE free books through your service) are leaving ratings with a "didn't read the book but need to rate so NG will give me more free books" Very disappointing.

this has been the worst book launch I've had since my first book. 2025 is not going to be a normal year.
