Husband's old co-worker trained a jr in AI and once it was up and working, company fired him and kept the cheap programmer. Y'all just don't get it. AI is being pushed so the tech co's can fire you. Period. We will be in a recession by the end of summer. Possibly a war by the end of the year.

Reading posts by women who say keeping their maiden name meant people thought they were divorced or kids weren't hers. That kids were "shamed." HUH? I kept my maiden name for 27 years and not once did anyone ask if I was divorced or who my kids were. Nor were my kids shamed. Dumb as rocks.

Had a follow-up video call with my dev editor. I felt some things weren't working on the book and wanted her feedback. JMO but she's strongest when talking one-to-one vs. written notes. Something bothering me about the book now has a solution (which I need to write) 😭 #writingcommunity #booksky

The highlight of the day is I finally found a great reading chair for my office after looking for 2 days and seeing nothing inspiring. The price was excellent and it was only 20 minutes away. Meanwhile, writing is at a snail's pace.

Very disappointed w NetGalley this go-around. I'm getting reviews for books posted A YEAR AGO because the "I want a free book" crowd found out they couldn't get more free books until they reviewed the other free books. Basically star ratings with "I didn't read it but need another free book"

Just spotted a squirrel with a stumpy tail. I wonder if this is the scrawny one I've been seeing? I'll keep an eye out and see how it does. We have a LOT of walnut trees on this property and they've been gathering them hard this past month. But I know for a fact there isn't much inside those shells.

You know trad publishing is dying when they don't have Juliet Marillier's new book (The Amber Owl) available in the US. She explains why on her Goodreads account -- All I can say is when stupid The One 16 year old Mary Sue books which reads like juvenilia is everywhere, & this isn't in the US? WTF.

I was reading a fiction book last night that helped me understand why trad publishing is 1.) not growing in readership & 2.) why I rarely buy books published in the last 10 years anymore unless its by a favorite writer. Trad pub is churning out crap & calling it gold.

My Chinese drama, Kill my Sins took a deep dark dive in episode 14. 😭 I knew it was coming. At this point this villain needs to die in a horrible horrible way to make up for this. This one has a lot of powerful women and deals with some dark topics. So good mydramalist.com/757781-kill-...
