Some time writer about free software and open source and would-be novelist. Companion to parrots, collector of First Nations art, and ergonomic keyboard advocate. Now actively querying my novel "The Bone Ransom," a post-colonial fantasy.
Today, I received a ZSA Voyager keyboard. At last I have a portable ergonomic keyboard for my laptop.

Fantasy maps tend to lack detail. But as I obssessively added and invented names for mine, plot ideas sprouted everywhere. #writing #fantasy #maps

I call worldbuilding that doesn't help the plot or mood "gingerbread," like the needless decoration on Victorian houses. #writing #fantasy #worldbuilding

Some writers buy character art. Having a raven and a fox in my story, I bought this instead:

My Keyboardio Model 100 is an ergonomic keyboard on which each key is customizable (I have several customized for editing text). It almost eliminates stress injuries, and lets me type pain-free for hours each day. As a bonus, it's aesthetically pleasing.

Think a sword is more versatile than an axe? You're thinking of a top-heavy axe for chopping wood. Here's the anatomy of a well-balanced war axe:

At the University of Boston, an AI disruptor is being developed. It involves a mask that makes random changes to an image when AI attempts to use it, but does nothing in normal use.

I mostly use a Keyboardio Model 100, like the one shown above. I adjusted my chair, so the height doesn't bother me. I would add that an aesthetic design is an extra benefit.

I also have a ZSA Moonlander, which is a very mature product that gives even new users easy access to advanced features.

The things we do to be cool. I just ordered Linear A keycaps for my keyboard.

(they're used for reprogrammed keys that no longer type the character printed on them. The alternative is blanks. By using the Linear A keycaps, I have an easier time remembering what a customized key does.)

Oh, yeah. I am also a strong advocate of ergonomic keyboards. A good one is expensive but prevents most RSI.

Here's my favorite:
