Yeah, here it's only that expensive in major cities and their suburbs. I know lots of people from Szczecin live on the (east) German countryside because cheaper.

Village in Poland would be doable. Or small town but big enough for a hospital and a sushi restaurant: www.otodom.pl/pl/oferta/do...

Oooh. I got this the few times I had an allergy reaction so bad, allergy doc explained it was non-lethal anaphylactic shock. (Recently nailed it down to a particular pesticide after a freaking decade of investigation.)

Oooh. I carry nail clippers but let us know if they do make it through airports!

I think this is more data than needed for the lowest level of security clearance in my country.

I am not the originator of this insight, but: we do not actually know what is ADHD and what is post-traumatic stress, because our society does not produce untraumatized people with ADHD.

In my experience stretchy stuff like socks and hats are best knit, not crocheted. But slippers, totally crochetable.

First thing I noticed! Now the question is, what kind of roses? (We haven't heard from Luna in a while...)

I am biased where @amuseoffyre.bsky.social is involved but her OFMD epics are so good. Complete AU epics Don't Tell Mama and A Trick of the Light, canon wise A New Season (s3) and Turning the Tides / Storm Surge (s2+s3 written after s1) are all complete and 100k+ words each.

KnitPro Waves is fairly similar and goes up to 12. Much cheaper too.

Alas his Arthur book is untranslated, but this is a good summation: www.blathancaerme.com/sapkowski-th...

(I keep wondering how much of his progressive views comes across in translation. He really is Pratchett adjacent, humanism and references and humour included.)

Sapkowski's Witcher books! There's an explicit episode in the Arthurian world in the last one, but the whole series is in dialogue with the Mabinogion, including Welsh speaking elves. Sapkowski wrote a whole book about the Arthur mythos and admits that Ciri is a living Grail.

Chenille is hard mode! Count your stitches extra carefully, frogging it is basically guaranteed to ruin that stretch of yarn.

Lots of water so you're forced to get up every hour or so. And changing into soft slippers / grippy socks.

I also recommend the shutter delay function, by a half second if your settings allow. Or a wired remote trigger most common cameras shouldn't be more than $10. This used to be so much harder when viewfinder was the only option!

A sock with rice in it works for point and shoot cameras!

Though I suspect Tim would also get much better than me at holding his breath and his hands steady - I got up to 1/3 second sharp exposures that way.
